Man due in court in connection with Swords assault

A man in his 30s will appear in court tomorrow charged in connection with an assault which has left a Nigerian man fighting for his life in hospital.

The victim was attacked with baseball bats on Swords Main Street in Co Dublin shortly after noon yesterday.

Another man was arrested and detained at Coolock Garda Station.

Tonight gardaí have confirmed that he has been charged with assault - and will appear in the Criminal Courts of Justice at 103.0am tomorrow morning.
