Man in court after bodies of young sons found in car boot

Sanjeev Chada appeared in court in Roscommon again today, charged with the murder of his two sons.

The 43-year-old from Bagenalstown in Co Carlow is charged with murdering 10-year-old Eoghan and 5-year-old Ruairi Chada at Ballintubber in Co Mayo on July 29 last.

The bodies of the two boys were discovered in the boot of a car after the vehicle had crashed into a stone wall at Ballintubber.

Mr. Chada was further remanded to Castlerea Prison to appear in court again on November 6.

The accused has been on suicide watch since being detained at the Co Roscommon prison over two months ago.
