Man dies following Roscommon crash

A man has died following a collision in Co Roscommon earlier today.

The 74-year-old was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a lorry on the N5 at Lissaphuca near Tulsk at around 10am this morning.

He was taken by air ambulance to University College Hospital in Galway where he was later pronounced dead.

A technical examination has been carried out by gardaí and the road has since re-opened to motorists.
