Navy divers to resume search for fisherman missing off Clare coast
A search operation is expected to resume this morning for a fisherman, who it is believed, was washed into the sea in county Clare yesterday evening.
It is understood the 42-year-old man had been fishing off rocks near Fanore at around 5.30pm when he got into difficulty.
Members of the Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard, the Shannon-based rescue helicopter and gardaí carried out a search of the area yesterday evening.
Navy divers are also expected to take part in today's search efforts which get underway this morning.
