Two women and five children escaped uninjured after shots were fired at their house in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

Two women and five children escaped uninjured after shots were fired at their house in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

The children were aged between seven months and six years.

A grey Kia Ceed was found on fire a short distance away in at Platin, Co. Meath, shortly after the attack and gardaí are investigating it.

They are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Knockbrack Close at around 9.15pm last night to come forward.
