A 44-year-old heating and plumbing contractor has been returned for trial on a charge of manslaughter following the death of a woman from carbon monoxide poisoning following a gas leak in a Co Cork hotel.

A 44-year-old heating and plumbing contractor has been returned for trial on a charge of manslaughter following the death of a woman from carbon monoxide poisoning following a gas leak in a Co Cork hotel.

Richard Davis of Ballygarvan faces trial in connection with the death of Miriam Reidy at the Trident Hotel in Kinsale, on January 9, 2011.

The 35-year-old native of Ballyhahill, Co Limerick was one of a group of 25 friends attending a hen party weekend in Kinsale when the tragedy happened.

Mr Davis and his company face a total of five charges in connection with her death.
