The Vice Chair of the Labour Party has said it is up to the Tánaiste if he see's fit to leave the Department of Foreign Affairs.

His comments come on the back of reports that Eamon Gilmore was last night asked by the Labour Party to quit as Minister for Foreign Affairs in order to save the party from wipe out in the next general election.
