Students protest outside Dáil

Thousands of students are descending on the Dáil calling on the Government to leave the grant alone in Budget 2014.

Demonstrations have already taken place in Cork and Sligo and around 5,000 people are expected on Molesworth Street in Dublin to voice their concerns.

Glenn Fitzpatrick, President of DIT's Students Union, said vulnerable students have gone beyond breaking point.
