Man dies, two injured, in car accident in Kildare

A 20-year-old man has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

He was a backseat passenger in a car which crashed into a tree at Hawkfield on the Newbridge to Milltown Road at around 7pm yesterday evening.

Two other people in the car received serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
