Polls show Seanad abolition set to pass

The government looks set to win the referendum on scrapping the Seanad according to a new poll by the Irish Times and Ipsos MRBI.

44% of people are in favour of removing the upper house while 27% are against with as many as 21% saying they don't know, according to the IPSOS/MRBI poll in today's Irish Times. Some 8% said that they did not intend to vote.
