Seizure of €250k of cannabis in Cork
Two men have been arrested after the discovery of €250,000 worth of drugs in North Cork.
Gardaí made the seizure at two cannabis growhouses in the Lismire area between Kanturk and Newmarket this morning.
Members of the Kanturk district drugs squad raided two homes this morning at approximately 8.30am, discovering over 200 plants and 2kg of harvested cannabis, Cork's RedFM said.
The system was described as 'highly sophisticated' with the use of specialised lighting, heating and ventilation systems.
Two men, one in his 50s and another in his 70s, were arrested and taken into custody.
