Dublin Port Company welcomes millionth cruise liner passenger

Dublin Port Company has welcomed the millionth cruise liner passenger to visit the city over the past 20 years.

Diana Taylor from Newfoundland in Canada disembarked at 8.30am this morning - accompanied by her husband Doug.

She was presented with a bouquet of flowers and is being treated to a VIP trip for her and her husband around the city in a chauffeur driven limousine.

She was also presented with €1,000 to spend on her visit to the capital.

Diana said she always wanted to visit Ireland as all of her ancestors are from here and in particular she is looking forward to seeing St Patrick's Cathedral.
