Worldwide search underway for Co Down woman
A worldwide search is underway for the most wanted woman.
An arrest warrant was issued yesterday by Interpol on foot of a request by Kenyan authorities for Irishwoman Samantha Lewthwaite - who has been widely linked to an attack on a shopping centre in Nairobi.
It is understood police in Kenya want to speak to her in relation to bomb attacks in 2011 - it is not yet known if she was part of the group of al-Shabaab militants who attacked the Westgate shopping mall.
Belfast based security correspondent, Alan Murray, said that her name has cropped up a number of times in relation to terror attacks.
"In 2009 she disappeared from the UK and since then she has been named in a number of instances where there have been attacks," he said.
"She has not responded in any way with any statement to refute any of this".
