Government to repeal thousands of obsolete laws

The Government has approved a major programme to repeal thousands of obsolete laws and regulations.

The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin said that four new Statute Law Revision Bills will reduced the outdated and unnecessary legislation cluttering the statute book and pave the way for further modernisation measures.
