The DPP has launched a challenge to the jail terms imposed on two community volunteers caught mixing crack cocaine.

Andrew Goonery of Collinstown Grove, Clondalkin and Darren Boylan of St Marks Grove, Clondalkin each received three-and-a-half year jail sentences after admitting possessing drugs for sale and supply in November 2009.

The DPP is now appealing the sentences arguing that they are too lenient.
