Hundreds expected at protest over new road through Kilkenny

A demonstration is taking place in Kilkenny city later aimed at blocking plans for a major new road project through the medieval city.

The Kilkenny Ring Road Campaign want to stop the construction of the Central Access Scheme, a new route designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the heart of the city.
