Taoiseach: I am not a dictator

The Taoiseach has said he is not a dictator.

It comes after the Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin compared him to the fascist leader Benito Mussolini and Charlie Haughey.

He did so because Enda Kenny is refusing to take part in a TV debate on the Seanad.

The Taoiseach however was not impressed with the comments and denied

"It ill behooves any member of the FF party to accuse me of being a dictator," he said.

"Far from that, I probably am the most open person who has handled this office and has the privilege of sitting in this office

"I reject the political assertion made by deputy Martin."
