Woman held in connection with fatal hit and run in Co Donegal

A woman in her 20s has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit and run incident in Co. Donegal last month.

The body of 48-year-old Alan McSherry was discovered on a road at Ardfarn, Bundoran, in the early hours of Sunday morning, August 25.

Investigating officers arrested a woman in her 20s earlier today in Ballyshannon for questioning.

She is being detained under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to 24 hours.
