Phone and electronics retailers create 80 jobs

80 news jobs are being created by a partnership between Carphone Warehouse Ireland and Harvey Norman.

The mobile phone retailer is setting up units within Harvey Norman stores around the country.

The new retail partnership across the country will be launched this week.

It follows on from the Carphone Warehouse 'store-in-store' at Harvey Norman Airside Retail Park in Swords in Dublin which was unveiled last year.

The collaboration will see a further 11 new Carphone Warehouse outlets opening at HN computer departments stores nationwide beginning with the first stores in Blanchardstown and Nutgrove retail parks in the capital this week.

The rollout will continue until November with further openings taking place weekly at Harvey Norman stores nationwide.

Vacancies for manager and sales consultant roles are currently advertised and recruitment is underway.

The new branches will be based at Blanchardstown Retail Park, Nutgrove Retail Park and eight other areas across the country:

Cork: Kinsale Road Cork & Little Island Cork.

Drogheda: Drogheda Retail Park.

Kildare: Newhall Retail Park Naas.

Waterford: Butlerstown Retail Park, Cork Road.

Limerick: City East Retail Park.

Kerry: Manor West Retail Park, Tralee.

Mayo: Castlebar Retail Park.
