Probe into death of man at waste recycling facility
A man was crushed to death during an accident at a recycling plant in Dublin.
The Health and Safety Authority has launched an investigation after the 41-year-old died at the Greenstar Recycling waste facility in Ballymount, at about 3pm.
It is understood the man, who was an employee at the plant, was crushed by a forklift as he was loading or offloading fridge freezers and kitchen appliances from a trailer.
A post-mortem will be carried out at Tallaght Hospital.
Gardai said no one else was injured in the incident.
