Creighton denies planning for European election bid

The former junior minister Lucinda Creighton is denying she is planning to contest the European elections next year.
It comes after the Dublin Bay South TD made a detailed submission to the constituency review.
This included the possibility of 11 single-seat constituencies.
Deputy Creighton has since tweeted she is not running for the European Parliament but is just interested in putting in place a good system to elect MEPs.
3 journos have already asked me if I'm running for Euro Parl because I made a submission to boundary commission. Answer is No!

I'm just interested in putting in place a good system to elect our MEPs. They're job is more influential & important than most realise
