Man, 31, remains in garda custody following Dublin shooting

A 31-year-old man is been held by gardaí in Dublin following a shooting incident on Monday.

A man in his 50's was shot in the stomach at around 8am on Glasnevin Avenue. He was taken to hospital where he is still undergoing treatment.

Shortly afterwards, that same morning, a 31-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his leg in Hillcrest Park.

He was arrested by gardaí and is being questioned at Ballymun Garda Station.
