Gilmore calls for political solution in Syria

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore says the deliberate use of chemical weapons against a civilian population in Syria is a very serious war crime.

In a statement issued this evening, Mr Gilmore says the use of these weapons has rightly been outlawed for almost a century.
