Cyclist in his 60s among two men shot in Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after two men were shot in Glasnevin in broad daylight this morning.
The first incident happened at 8.15am when a man in his 60s was shot in the stomach while cycling along Glasnevin Avenue.
He was taken to the Mater hospital, where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Nearby, at Hillcrest Park, Gardaí found a second male in his 30s with gunshot injuries to his leg, who was taken to Beaumont Hospital.
A shotgun has also been discovered close to the scene, which has been sealed off for a technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
