Letterkenny A&E accepting GP referrals and walk-in patients

The Emergency Department at Letterkenny Hospital is now accepting all GP referrals from their traditional catchment area.

This brings an end to the diversion arrangements, following the severe flooding last month which caused several departments to close.

The repatriation of patients from Sligo Regional Hospital will continue over the coming days.

Walk-in patients are also being accepted to the Emergency Department there from all areas.

The HSE has said non-emergency patients should continue to contact their GP at first.
