Navy detain UK fishing vessel off Cork coast

The Irish Naval Services has detained a British-registered fishing vessel off Co Cork.

The vessel was detained around 90 nautical miles south west off Mizen Head, over an alleged technical breach of fishing regulations.

The vessel is now being towed to Castletownbere, where it is expected to arrive tomorrow morning.

It will then be handed over to the gardaí for investigation.
