More than 22,000 CAO offers accepted in one day
More than 22,000 students have accepted college offers so far, the CAO reports.
Some 50,000 students were given first-round offers earlier, but tomorrow the CAO will offer vacant places that have not been filled.
Students who haven't been offered their first choice can opt for a vacant place.
"Do not place the vacant place above a course that you may be hoping may still come down in points," Education columnist with the Irish Times, Brian Mooney, said.
"If you do, once you're offered a vacant place, you won't get any course beneath it.
"So place the vacant place below the course - you're offered the vacant place, and if the points for the course you really wanted comes down, you'll still be offered that as well."
