Man charged with Birr festival assault

A man has appeared in court in Offaly charged with assaulting a woman at a festival in Birr earlier this month.

Marie Gauvin, who is originally from Birr but now lives in Canada, was attending the Birr Vintage Festival on August 4 when she was struck by a glass missile.
