USI warns government against targeting youth in budget

The Union of Students in Ireland is warning the government against targeting young people in the Budget.

The USI said that further cuts that impact on students will cost politicians their seats in the next General Election.

The union said it is setting up a voter database to match students with TDs in their local constituencies.

USI President Joe O’Connor is calling on the Education Minister Ruairi Quinnn to fight to protect students.
