Phil back by Bruxelles for fun and frolics
Phil Lynott's iconic statue is back up outside Bruxelles Pub on Harry street, after an almost three-month absence.
The statue was damaged in May by two men who owned up to the incident.
The tribute was removed for repairs, but today the musician's mother Philomena unveiled it again just days before what would have been Phil's 64th Birthday on August 20.
Ms Lynott also told the story of the phone call she received from Gardaí after the two men turned themselves in.
"Two lads just walked into the police station and gave themselves up … and they've asked me to ring you to tell you that they're very very sorry, and it was not vandalism, that it happened while they were drunk, frolicking," she said.
Philomena said she replied: "well, we've all got drunk and we've all frolicked, haven't we?"
