Victim of farm accident in Co Meath named

A man who died following a farm related accident in county Meath on Friday has been named.

A man who died following a farm related accident in county Meath on Friday has been named.

59-year-old Michael O’Keefe died following the incident at his home in Kells at around 8pm on Friday. He is a former Regional President of St Vincent de Paul in the north-east of the country.

Speaking to Midlands Radio, the St Vincent de Paul Regional President for the North Midlands, Enda Breslin, paid tribute to Mr O'Keefe.

"[He was] a prime example fo what we need and what should be in the Scoiety of St Vincent de Paul - a normal hardworking man, but put the people in need, the people who need our help, to the foremost."
