Dance company Riverdance are seeking an injunction against a Co Kerry music promoter from using the famous show name in Eastern Europe.

It is alleged Michael Carr from Balconrey, Co Kerry, and his company, of Ballybunion are selling tickets for ‘Riverdance Tribute’ shows in Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

Lawyers for Riverdance founders John McColgan and Moya Doherty are in the High Court today in a bid to prevent the "illict unauthorised" shows from taking place.
