A health and safety investigation is underway after a pensioner was gored by a bull on a farm in West Cork earlier.

A health and safety investigation is underway after a pensioner was gored by a bull on a farm in West Cork earlier.

The man, who has been named locally as 81-year-old Noel Moxley, was airlifted to hospital after the attack which happened shortly before 10am this morning.

The Valencia Coastguard has confirmed their helicopter picked the victim up from the local GAA pitch in Drimoleague before flying him to Cork University Hospital.

His condition is unknown.
