Conference to highlight lack of beds in hospitals
A conference on Ireland's health service today will hear that patients are still regularly being treated on trollies on hospital corridors.
The 'Building A Health Service for 21st Century Ireland' conference is being hosted in Limerick today by Labour MEP Phil Prendergast.
It will be attended by medical experts and the Junior Health Minister Alex White.
They will be discussing ways to bring Ireland's health service up to international standards.
Labour MEP Phil Prendergast said the HSE still suffers a number of problems, including a lack of hospital beds.
