Dangerous warehouse fire in Co Meath under control

The fire service says a large blaze at a warehouse in Co Meath earlier this afternoon is now under control.

The alarm was raised at around 2PM at Navan Steel Products Limited, just off the Carriage Road in Navan- where four units remain at the scene this evening.

It's feared the highly explosive chemical acetylene - used as a fuel in welding because of its high-temperature flame - may be contained in some of the products in the building, and therefore the emergency services have cordoned off the area.

But the fire service says the Connelly, Trim and the Carriage roads in Navan have all re-opened this evening.
