A man has been rescued by coastguards after attempting to sail from Dorset to Ireland in an inflatable dinghy.

A man has been rescued by coastguards after attempting to sail from Dorset to Ireland in an inflatable dinghy.

Portland Coastguard said that he was spotted yesterday in a 6ft inflatable - using plastic sheeting as a sail and a paddle as a rudder to steer.
