People are being today urged to take some safety measures before getting into the water after five people drowned on Irish waterways this week.

People are being today urged to take some safety measures before getting into the water after five people drowned on Irish waterways this week.

In the latest accident, a teenage boy lost his life yesterday afternoon while swimming near the Ardnacrusha ESB Power Station in Co Clare.
