Canine is nuts about owner

A dog has become the first canine to sniff out nuts.

Nano the four-year-old poodle has been paired with severe nut allergy sufferer Yasmine Tornblad, who goes into anaphylactic shock just from the smell of the products, and his presence has completely changed her life.

The 30-year-old IT worker is quoted by the Metro newspaper as saying: "It has given me a bit of independence back. I can't imagine life without him."

Before Nano got on the case, Yasmine - who takes the pooch everywhere she goes, including to work - had been rushed to hospital 15 times in the past eight years as a result of her allergy.
