Teenager due in court in connection with false imprisonment in Roscommon

A man is due to appear in court in Roscommon today, in connection with the false imprisonment of a man in strokestown on Tuesday.

Gardaí in Roscommon arrested four people yesterday following a planned operation, during which they searched two houses in the Roscommon area.

A woman and two men, all in their late teens, were taken to Roscommon Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A third man, in his early 20's, was arrested by Gardaí yesterday afternoon at a house in Strokestown.

The woman and two of the men have since been released without charge.

One of the men in his late teens is due to appear before Castlerea District Court this morning.
