CPSU members accept Haddington Road deal despite union recommendation
Ireland's largest civil service union, which represents those on lower pay, has today voted to accept the Haddington Road Agreement.
The CPSU's executive committee had recommended a No vote - but members accepted the vote by a margin of just less 10%.
The head of the union said the vote was not an endorsement of the agreement but was forced by the Government through intimidation and fear.
So far, only UNITE has rejected the successor to the Croke Park Two deal - while a number of unions are still balloting their members.
UPDATE (5pm): 67% of members of the IMO have voted to accept the deal.
