Figures show increase in sexually transmitted infections
There has been a dramatic increase in sexually transmitted infections in the past year - according to the Dublin Well Woman Centre.
Publishing its annual report - the centre said that there has been a 72% increase in the level of positive results for Genital Herpes across its three Dublin clinics in just 12 months.
While for Chlamydia - the number of positive tests has increased by 35%.
The centre said that the rising figures show that the sexual health of the Irish population is now a serious cause for concern.
