Clares meet from around the world in bid to break record

If your first name name is Clare - then you might be able to help create a world record today.

Hundreds of Clares are meeting up in Ennis, Co Clare today in a bid to get the largest gathering of people with the same first name.

The current record was set in 2005 when almost 1,100 Mohammeds met in Dubai.

Clare Koeburt from Philadelphia read about the event in a newspaper and hopped on a plane to Shannon - she said it is great fun, if a little confusing at times.
