Motorcyclist dies after collision in Meath

A man has died following a road collision in Co Meath.

A motorcyclist in his early 50's was killed following a collision with a car on the Millbrook Road in Oldcastle shortly after 5pm this evening.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body had been taken to Our Lady’s Hospital Navan where a post mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow. The female driver of the car was uninjured.

The road is closed to allow an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
