Man pleads not guilty to 2010 Blackhall Place rape charge

A man has pleaded not guilty to the false imprisonment and attempted rape of a woman in Dublin city centre over three years ago.

The man - who can't be named for legal reasons - also denies several sexual assault charges which allegedly happened at Blackhall Place in February 2010.

The court heard how he is also accused of stealing from the woman and threatening to kill her.

A jury was sworn in earlier today and the man is due to go on trial at the Central Criminal Court.
