PSNI charge man and woman with explosives offences in Derry

Police in the North investigating dissident republicanism have charged two people with explosives offences.

The suspects, a man aged 39 and a woman aged 32, were arrested on Monday in Derry.

They face charges of possession of explosives with intent to endanger life and possession of items for an act of terrorism, the PSNI said.

The man faces a further charge of collecting material last year likely to be of use to terrorists.

Both suspects are due to appear at Derry Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
