Almost half of population could be obese in 17 years' time, says expert

Almost half of adults in Ireland will be obese by 2030 if action is not taken, a Oireachtas Committee was told today.

Childhood obesity experts appealed to the Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children this morning to address what they call the "obesity pandemic".
