Staff at the Sunday Business Post to be updated on investment progress

Staff at the Sunday Business Post will be updated on its progress in securing new investment by the examiner appointed to it this afternoon.

Last week, examiner Michael McAteer of Grant Thornton, informed the High Court that talks with three separate companies about acquiring the title were ongoing and that he was confident an investor would be found before today.

Post Publications Ltd - the publisher of the Sunday Business Post - sought protection from its creditors in March after parent group Thomas Crosbie Holdings, went into receivership.

The paper currently employs around 70 people.
