One arrest over €5m Dublin drug seizure

A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of €5m worth of drugs in Dublin.

Eighty kilos of cannabis herb and around €350,000 worth of ecstasy tablets were found during the search of a premises at Rosemount Business Park in Blanchrdstown yesterday evening.

The sting was carried out as part of a joint operation between the Garda National Drug Unit, Dublin Castle and the Revenue Customs Service.

A 41 year old man has been arrested and he is being detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
