Release of republican prisoner Price welcomed
Both the Taoiseach and the Tánaiste have welcomed the news that Republican prisoner Marian Price has been released from jail in the North.
59-year-old Price was jailed for her part in the IRA London bombing campaign of 1973.
The Parole Commissioners for Northern Ireland said she would be released to her home and to the care of her family and friends.
Her sister Dolours - who was also imprisoned for the London bombing - died in January.
Commenting on her release - Enda Kenny said there has been growing concern about her health in recent months and that he had raised the issue with the British Prime Minister David Cameron a number of times.
Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore said that her release will be widely welcomed.
