Investigation continues into tragic drowning off Wexford coast

An investigation is continuing in County Wexford into the tragic drowning of a man while trying to rescue his child.
The 39-year-old father drowned in Courtown Harbour shortly before lunchtime yesterday, after coming to the aid of three teenagers.
It is understood the swimmers got into some difficulty and the man tried to help them to safety before he got into trouble in the water himself.
Coastguard paramedics were unable to resuscitate him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
